THE
IMMUTABLE WORD OF GOD!
By: Matthew Taylor
Hebrews 6: 16-20
"16. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for
confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise
the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18. That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to
lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay
hold upon the hope set before us:
19. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast,
and which entereth into that within the veil;
20. Whither the forerunner is for us entered, Jesus, made an high priest
for ever after the order of Mel-chis'-e-dec."
God's Immutable Power:
A.
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and earth."
The Word of God is the power unto salvation. Even before the beginning it
is important to note first; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy
Spirit. Apostle Paul spoke about this 'Immutable Power;' "For
the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, his eternal power and
Godhead…"Rom. 1:20 (part) "For in him dwelleth all the
fullness of the Godhead bodily." (Col. 2:9) And, how the
three persons, making up the Godhead are co-equal, co-eternal are indeed
all three the power of God.
1Peter 1:20-22(part), apostle Peter wrote, "Who verily was
foreordained before the foundation of the world but was manifested in
these last times for you, 21. Who by him do believe in God, that raised
him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might
be in God. 22. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the
truth through the Spirit…"
B.
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God." Who but the "Immutable Power"
can contain such Mercy to send to such sinful people Grace?
Immutable Power, which will be rendered under this text, the name of God,
in order to include all three persons in this message, "Immutable
Power" describes best the completeness of God. How amazing the
miracle of life is contained in the words of immutability, that this
pantokrator in the Greek – omnipotent – He who holds all
things – The ruler of all – All Mighty God, before the
"foundation of the world," saw the earned death, and that
through all things abominable, that, even still, Immutable Power
proclaimed justice through the Spirit of Mercy through the very
creation.
Gen. 2:9 "And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree
that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; and the tree of life
also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and
evil." Let all sing the praises to the Immutable Power as A'-saph
once sang in the eighty second Psalm. "God standeth in the
congregation of the mighty, he judgeth among the gods." Immutable
Power, looking from the window of Eternity, saw the disobedience of his
most glorious creation, for thus the words of Immutability had been
neglected.
(Gen. 2:16-17) "And the Lord God commanded…" Take note: this
immutable command be intermingled with Exodus 20:3; "And the Lord God
commanded, thou shalt have no other gods before
me!" "And the Lord God COMMANDED the man, saying, Of
every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat
of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely
die." Fellow heirs, let's lift our voices in honor to Immutable Power
a Psalm once sang for the sabbath day: "The Lord reigneth, he is
clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, he hath girded
himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. 2. Thy
throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. 3. The
floods have lifted up, O Lord the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods have lifted up their waves. 4. The Lord on high is mightier
than the noise of many waters, yeah, the mighty waves of the sea. 5.Thy
testimonies are very sure: holiness becomes thine house, O Lord,
forever." 93'rd Psalm. As in the reading, the
introduction to this message, there is non except Immutable Power worthy
to even look upon "Fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is
the righteousness of saints." That the Blood of The Lamb made from
the blackness of sin, pure and guiltless the soul which deserves that
Immutable Power "Keep not thou silence, O God hold not thy peace, and
be not still, O God." "For by one man sin entered…"
Because, "she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also
unto her husband with her; and he did eat…" Immutable Power
shows forth Immutable love, through sanctification of the Spirit; and
because the Son given, the second person in the Godhead, died a terrible
death, then God, the first person in the Godhead restored him to the
throne.
How can any, except Immutable Power
contain such Immutable Mercy be willing to "pray the Father…"that
we be given "another Comforter?" One more song at the
close: "O SING unto the Lord a new song: for he hath done marvelous
things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath begotten him
VICTORY!" Can you now call him Immutable Power? That we,
who, with our very thoughts are total enmity should be, one day after
while, by Immutable Power "judged" with the great whore which
did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of
his servants at her hand." But OH NO, because of Immutable Power of
Mercy, I, along with my brother's and sister's am blessed. "Blessed
are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb."
Rev.19.
